Sally
Renchi Sally Durman is a dedicated career martial artist with a story of resilience and strength. Holding a Black Belt in Kickboxing, a Black Belt in Loong Chi Do Goshu Kempo, and a 4th Degree Black Belt in Kaigan Bujitsu Kempo, she has become a respected leader in the martial arts community. Sally’s journey began as a personal pursuit of strength and self-defense after enduring the hardships of an abusive marriage. Martial arts became her path to empowerment and healing, and it is now her mission to help others discover the same strength within themselves.
During her training, Sally met her current husband, a fellow martial artist, and the two have been partners in life and martial arts ever since. Their unique bond was celebrated when they married in their own dojo, exchanging vows in their martial arts Gi’s rather than traditional wedding attire—a symbol of their shared dedication to the art.
In 2011, Sally and her husband opened their own martial arts school in Australia, and in 2015, they relocated to the United States, where Sally continues to inspire and lead. As a mother of three, all of whom are Black Belts, Sally’s family holds a collective nine Black Belts, a testament to their shared commitment to martial arts.
Now the Manager of Elite Combat and Fitness, Sally is passionate about helping others achieve more than they thought possible. She believes martial arts offer not only self-defense but also the courage, confidence, and resilience needed to overcome life’s challenges. Sally’s leadership and personal story of triumph make her an invaluable part of the Elite Combat and Fitness community.
